Samantha Curtis is a third year Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. For Sam, an active lifestyle was instilled at a young age but when she sustained an injury that ended her high school running career, she discovered the value of specific movement for restoring pain-free physical health and well-being. Sam has a passion for guiding and supporting individuals to reach their greatest potential through strength training, ski instructing, and through volunteering with local adaptive sports programs. When she is not helping others grow their capabilities, you can find Sam outside hiking, skiing, creating a delicious and healthy meal with local produce or advocating for accessibility in sports and maintenance of outdoor recreation areas. Sam’s educational background includes courses focused on functional human anatomy, corrective exercises, and an introduction to managing pain by treating the whole client and not just the site of pain.
