Meet Ethan, one of our students for the Spring 2023 semester. Here's an interview to get to know him better!
Could you please state your name, where you are going to college, what you are majoring in and when you will graduate.
"My name is Ethan Swiatlowski I am majoring in Exercise Science at the University of Buffalo, and I plan to graduate in May of 2023."
Why did you decide to major in Exercise Science?
"I decided to major in Exercise Science because ever since I was about 14 years old I started working out because I did not plan any sports. This led to me finding a passion for fitness and well being. I am also passionate about helping others get into the gym and working to better themselves. I have gotten many of my friends into working out and I wanted to further my knowledge and education in exercise science."
Why did you decide to do your internship at TrainSMART Personal Fitness?
"I chose TrainSMART to do my internship at because the TrainSMART website really stood out to me. I noticed all the different types of training and options they offer for people. I loved how passionate Joe Fox is for his company and for his clients. He is truly passionate about transforming clients into stronger, healthier, and painless individuals. This is something I had to be a part of. Making people stronger where they need to be is huge! I also like everyone who works here and I am enjoying myself already!"
What are the three most important things that you are looking to learn in your internship here?
"I am looking to learn how to become a good coach. How to improve people's lives in terms of fitness, pain relief, and quality of life. I am also interested in expanding my knowledge on many aspects such as nutrition, working with people, and leadership skills."
What are your plans for after you graduate?
"After I graduate I plan on going to DPT school at UB and hopefully working as a coach part time at TrainSMART!"
