What I’d like you to do is first slide your butt to the end of the chair, please. Put it to the edge and you can feel the hard part right on your buttocks. I want you to widen your feet, put your heels a little bit back towards your butt, and I want you to roll your pelvis forward, stay head up, chest up. Lift with your hips, and try not to bend forward when you do it.
We’re going to try that again. I saw some people really lean forward before they came up. We want to try to avoid that, so please go ahead and sit down again, and I’m going to cheat. I’m going to use the desk, because most of you can use a desk, right? So, here I am, and if you need to move to see me, let me know, and hopefully Jake will get it on the video.
Same thing, we’re sitting. We’re going to slide our butts to the end of the chair. And now we are going to put our hands on the desk or table. Widen your feet, roll your pelvis forward, move your heels back, and now use your hands a little bit and stand straight up without leaning forward. Nice job. So that could take practice, but the important thing is we are moving through our hips, we are not moving through our spine.
